THE PRESIDENT’S CORNER
Happy New Year! Hope you all had a Wonderful Holiday! I would like to thank everyone who came out to the last meeting, especially the Past Presidents. It is a great tradition to recognize the Past Presidents at our Holiday Sports Luncheon.
This month we are having a Joint Meeting with USGBC on Jan. 24. The presenter is Charles Hardy from the GSA. He will discuss some renovation and new construction projects that have a goal to operate as “net-zero” facilities. Please let Laura know if you are interested in being a sponsor at the event.
The monthly meeting topics have changed slightly, our March program will focus on the AMCA 260 standard for Laboratory Exhaust. Please take a look at the updated calendar in this newsletter. We hope you can join us at the monthly events, please invite your colleagues, customers and anyone else that will get value out of the meeting topics and discussions.

Join ASHRAE in Chicago for the Winter Conference January 21-25, 2012. This conference is historically the best attended of the year and it’s relatively close by for us compared to past conferences. The ASHRAE co-sponsored AHR Expo takes place Jan 23-25 at McCormick Place. This is also a great opportunity to participate in ASHRAE certification programs and ASHRAE Learning Institute seminars and short courses. Please let me know if you plan to attend the Winter Conference and I will try to connect you to others from the Chapter that will be in attendance.
